How do we look? What you see has occupied my every waking hour for the last 3 weeks. THREE WEEKS. I wanted a look that will immediately communicate who we are, what we do and the kick we get out of doing it :-)

The "new look" shows my "creative hormones" gone amuck! LOL.

I am finally embracing scrapbooking in both paper and digital with as much passion as I can muster. The site design also reflects my dead bias that digital scrapbooking will feel like work. And to prove that point, I didn't just start a new blog for digital scrapbooking, I have begun to do my very own digital kits! SERIOUSLY (meaning I am now investing as much time and effort on it as I do traditional.) That said, you can say that between my scrapping papers and my computer, my social life is dead. LOL.

And I'm loving it!

While I do sometimes rant that I don't seem to have enough time considering I have slept for only 4 or 5 hours daily to get everything going for the site - the simple truth is I enjoyed doing every single thing too! Everything became my "escape" from the daily grind that does offer but a handful of moments worth scrapping. This website and the tons of work that has to be done as far as it is concerned, actually saved me from focusing too much on myself. Whoever said that you should not spread yourself too thin haven't scrapped a page yet… And those that did, have yet to scrap a digital too. If you've gone and scrapped both ways, I doubt if "spreading too thin" would mean the same way to you ever again.

Read everything! I am amazed that the webstats do not just register a steep climb in terms of web visits. I'm not that keen on those numbers. What really gets me is how many of those who come and visit, actually READ and STAY. Well, according to the figures, more than 60% of you actually read everything in a span of 11 minutes. ELEVEN MINUTES. In the web, a minute or two is a very precious resource. Eleven minutes is "nirvana" to a webmaster. You guys actually read what we write! You guys actually stay! With such figures, can you blame me if I just had to keep doing what I do?

So welcome to our corner in the world wide web, in a "home" that has just been "refurbished." Claim it as your own. We've long gone "open house" and it'll become one as we make and keep it. Welcome Home!

Hello! New to myscrapworks? Let us give you a brief on how to get the most out of the site designed to give scrappers all the info they need to keep going.

The site offers a lot of articles to scrapbookers. Articles ranging from craft projects, photography tips and digital retouching, features on inspiring scrappers or a peek into their private scrapbooking sanctuaries and yes, even scrap-shopping tips can all be found in the site. Click “Articles” to read our latest write-ups. A link will also be offered to you to check out our Archives of previously published articles.

We have a site Blog where we post non-articles in between web uploads to keep things "current" and personal.

We have the DigiScrap page, which is actually ANOTHER blog just for digital scrapbooking. While the two blogs just might "mix" every now and then, we are trying our darndest to draw the line so we don't overload trad scrappers with a lot of digital info and the digi scrappers with a lot of tradscrap tips. DigiScrap is where we discuss what we can to get you going on digital inbetween uploads. It is also where we offer our very own "home-grown" freebies!

The Chatterbox on this page is where we allow everyone to post their “hi-hellos” and short messages.

The MSW Gallery is where we share our work or that of others. This is where you get to look at the work of some scrappers and learn from them. The Gallery also contains some pictures of MSW organized activities and yes, downloadable digital scrapbooking freebies! Gallery accounts are granted to current MSW email subscribers. Please sign up for our email alerts first in our About Us page before you ask for a gallery account. All accounts are manually activated. Please be aware that accounts that have remained inactive for 30 days will be deactivated.

A separate registration to Valerie Salmon's Sketch and Scrap Gallery is required. Being registered in the MSW Gallery does not immediately grant you upload privileges to the Sketch Gallery (or any other Gallery we host or will soon be hosting) separately for our sponsors independently from the MSW Gallery. Please register separately.

MSW advocates the Philippine Scrapbooking Search Engine. Clicking the "search" link will take you to the engine's page. Searching for anything scrapbooking on this site will also yield results in a number of scrapbook retailers. This is the best way we know how to keep you informed on what's up, what's hot and what's fab!

The people who make up MSW are all volunteers doing everything they can for the growth of the craft. While most are career women with 9-5 jobs, there are also men married to scrappers and currently contributing to the site.

The people behind MSW have a deep love for scrapbooking. That's the reason why the website came to be. They aspire it to be a scrapping HUB where everything you need to know about scrapping (particularly scrapping in Manila, Philippines) can be found.

Hub first, community second. Welcome to myscrapworks. We hope you’d make it your “home.”
