- If you want to attach ribbons to the edge of the frame, use the hole puncher.
- If the chipboard frame is undressed (no coat), you may skip this step. The one I got has a coat so I used sanding paper to distress it and remove the glossy coating. Acrylic paint will adhere and cover the chipboard surface much better without the coat.
- Apply acrylic paint and dry.
- Now this is where you can get creative:
- Attach different ribbons or die-cut tags for journaling
- Use a pen to create doodles on your frame.
- Apply rub-ons
- Stamp on it
- Or go a step further by applying embossing powder and setting it with a heat gun to achieve a 3D effect

| When you are done, you can use your altered chipboard puzzle frame for highlight picture, as a journaling block or whatever other ways you can think of to push the idea further. The possibilities are endless. |
