Melody's Email to myscrapworks:

here's the scoop on the cricut... spoke to provo and they said cricut will be available to international markets end of the year pa.
i am trying to get a demo unit so that we can actually try it out.  but i may be able to accept preorders as early as july or august!  will give more details then.  i am excited to get one myself!!! if people are too eager to get it...they may have to go to the US to get one =)  but my supplier advised me that the warranty for items bought in the US and used outside the country will not be honored and since it's an electronic machine...a warranty is important.  so buyer's beware lang =D...

Like Angela Lauchengco and me, I know you hear the sound of the Cricut calling you saying "Buy me! Buy me!" (Angela hears it much louder though... trust me... :)

I know how difficult it is to resist the call when all you have to do is go visit your "suki" web store and press BUY (Cricut is currently sold out in major scrapbooking stores and people are lined-up waiting for their orders to arrive.)

Whats holding us back? Well unlike our other scrapping tools, the Cricut is a machine - an electronic machine... and as such is covered by a warranty. The warranty applies ONLY in the US. Try and get one here and you would have to go back to the US to claim warranty (not a problem unless you own an airline or something...) that is, IF you can because it COULD get voided once you bring it here.

Well, fret no more. SMILE, which has very good business relations DIRECTLY with ProvoCraft will soon be carrying the Cricut in all their stores BEFORE Christmas. Read that again: BEFORE Christmas (Yup! You can ask your hubby to forgo buying you a gift and get you a Cricut instead!)

According to Melody Chan, SMILE owner, current negotiations with honoring the international warranty among other things (Angela wishes the units that will be sold here will at least be auto-volt!) are underway. In fact, SMILE is announcing (through myscrapworks --- wow! an exclusive!) that pre-orders are now being accepted for the first batch of units! (Line-up ladies... line-up!)

Further announcements on SMILE's Cricut units will be made through myscrapworks. In the meantime, try not to hoard much to prepare for your biggest Christmas purchase yet! (PS: Please invite Angela and me to your Cricut scrapping party *droooool*)

Thinking of getting one? MCSA was kind enough to provide myscrapworks with a link on the latest customer reviews (Joannes) about the Cricut. Click here to check it out! Thank you MCSA!
