A 2 minute test

Posted by Mabelle on Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Sure

A digitally scrapped page. Journaling reads: Someone asks you, ‘Are you happy?’ You say, ‘I’m not sure.’ You‘re never sure if you are happy. But you’re so sure of your depression. We doubt our capabilities. We never doubt our weaknesses. – Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Am posting two layouts related to the topic) ***

No freebie in this post. Here’s something that Mavist (bless her for never failing to send me such wonderful emails!) forwarded to me just now. It’s a test to take for yourself and to share with others. It’s a test to determine just how sensitive you are. The “directions” says I need to share my score to the people WHO MATTER much to me and to offer them to take the test themselves and share their scores back to me.

Well, you all matter to me, very much, so I’m sharing the test with you. My score is below this post. No peeking ok? Just take it if you can spare two minutes of your time. I find it quite revealing. I guess the key is in answering truthfully. Post your score IF you feel comfortable sharing it. It would be a great way to know you better.

Dr. Phil scored 55. He did this test on Oprah. Ophrah got a 38. Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out. The following is pretty accurate and it only takes 2 minutes. Take this test for yourself and send it to your friends. Don’t peek but begin the test as you scroll down and answer. Answers are for who you are NOW. Not who you were in the past.

Have pen or pencil and paper ready. This is a real test given by the Human Relations Departments of many major corporations today. It helps them get better insight concerning their employees and prospective employees.

It’s only 10 simple questions. Grab a pencil and paper. Keep track of your letter answers to each question. Let’s begin…

1. When do you feel your best?
a) in the morning
b) during the afternoon and early evening
c) late at night

a) stand with your arms folded
b) have your hands clasped
c) have one or both your hands on your hips
d) touch or push the person to whom you a re talking
e) play with your ear, touch your chin, or smooth your hair

4. When relaxing, you sit with.
a) your knees bent with your legs neatly side by side
b) your legs crossed
c) your legs stretched out or straight
d) one leg curled under you

5. When something really amuses you, you react with…
a) big appreciative laugh
b) a laugh, but not a loud one
c) a quiet chuckle
d) a sheepish smile

6. When you go to a party or social gathering you..
a) make a loud entrance so everyone notices you
b) make a quiet entrance, looking around for someone you know
c) make the quietest entrance, trying to stay unnoticed

7. You’re working very hard, concentrating hard, and you’re interrupted……
a) welcome the break
b) feel extremely irritated
c) vary between these two extremes

8 Which of the following colors do you like most?
a) Red or orange
b) black
c) yellow or light blue
d) green
e) dark blue or purple
f) white
g) brown or gray

9. When you are in bed at night, in those last few moments before going to sleep you are…

b) stretched out face down on your stomach
c) on your side, slightly curled
d) with your head on one arm
e) with your head under the covers

10. You often dream that you are..
a) falling
b) fighting or struggling
c) searching for something or somebody
d) flying or floating
e) you usually have dreamless sleep
f) your dreams are always pleasant

***
POINTS:
1. (a) 2 (b) 4 (c) 6
2. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 7 (d) 2 (e) 1
3. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 5 (d) 7 (e) 6
4. (a) 4 (b) 6 (c) 2 (d) 1
5. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 2
6. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 2
7. (a) 6 (b) 2 (c) 4
8. (a) 6 (b) 7 (c) 5 (d) 4 (e) 3 (f) 2 (g) 1
9. (a) 7 (b) 6 (c) 4 (d) 2 (e) 1
10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should “handle with care.” You’re seen as vain, self-centered, and extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don’t always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who’s quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who take chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 T O 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who’s constantly in the centre of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding, someone who’ll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who’s extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn’t want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don’t exist. Some people think you’re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren’t.
***
My score? 45. Quite revealing as I thought I am so sensitive and easily slighted. I cry easily AND privately. I feel pain fast sometimes even when none was intended. I withdraw and am withdrawn when I hurt. I’m trying to de-synthesize myself to a lot of things but I am having such a difficult time as I am one of the blessed/cursed few who carry their hearts on their sleeves.

I Can Be

An old traditionally scrapped page. It reads: Only when I dare can I BE. Thank you Mavist for forwarding this to me and sharing your score. No wonder I like you a lot!

PS: Ladies! You have less than two days to forward to me your Attic Box #2 layouts in exchange for an exclusive download! Deadline is BEFORE midnight of February 27! If you want an idea of what you will be missing if you DONT scrap, just look at the masthead of the blog. No kidding. FREE and exclusive.

I Wish For You…

Posted by Mabelle on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

This will be a very long post. A NOVEL by blog standards. I’m sorry.

The first part will be for those who are interested in the freebies I issue. The second part is for the handful of women who come to my blog for more than just the freebies. And the third part is for those whom I call my “dearest friends” and whose regular emails inquiring if all is well brightens up my dreary days. (And if I know them, each of them will be sending me yet another email vowing to “spank me” upon reading this post! They all write the same thing! LOL!)

I have chopped it up in parts as I do not expect everyone to be interested in all three except about ten people (LOL – and you know who you are). So there, take your pick: scrapper downloader, reader and/or friend.

PART I: SCRAPPER

I Wish For You

I Wish for You…
Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart
Gentle hugs when spirits sag,
Friendships to brighten your being,
Beauty for your eyes to see,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Faith so that you can believe,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
And love to complete your life.

I wish you this.

I made this for Jessica to thank her for allowing me to use her watercolor work for this line. I hope she likes it.

Watercolor Dreams Pack3
This makes the third of the four sets I am releasing under the Watercolor Dreams – Jessica line. It’s been a “refreshing” line to indulge in – a welcome break from the cute, the rich or the distressed lines I’ve recently undertaken. It’s light pastel and it has a vintage feel but it is far from “feeling old.” I really like how it turned out. LINK EXPIRED.

I therefore decided to make something I don’t normally do because it takes so much time to do and an equal amount of time to “pack.” I decided to issue a matching alpha set for the line. Consider it as my way of saying “thank you” for bearing with me for not updating this site as often as I can. (To find out why, read Part III)
Watercolor Dreams Painted Chips Alpha Set

Click here for the alpha set. LINK EXPIRED. And there’s more. Because I really loved how several ladies scrapped their hearts out with the I’ve Learned challenge, I decided to issue a layered cluster!

Watercolor Dreams Add-On Cluster #1

Are you still mad it took me three weeks to update the blog? Download here (LINK EXPIRED) if I’m already forgiven (LOL!) It is because of the following pages and the ladies who made them that I made this cluster. These “I’ve Learned” pages made me smile. Thank you for sending these to me. Watercolor Dreams Exclusive 3
To the ladies who made these pages, expect an email from me with the download link to the EXCLUSIVE ribbon set shown above within the next 48 hours. Give me that much time to work on the list ok? I’ll do it in my next “free time.”

Here’s more. Here’s another offer to earn yourself another exclusive! Get the download link to this cluster -
Watercolor Dreams Exclusive Cluster #2

If you can guess the reason WHY I didn’t put gemstones on every letter in the Watercolor Dreams Alpha Set (Painted Chips) and just selected a few to embellish with stones. I suggest you download the alpha set and study why. You just might earn yourself an exclusive download link to the cluster shown above!

You have to EMAIL me your guess at mydigistyle(at)gmail.com NOT later than April 14. Those who guess correctly will get the download link to the EXCLUSIVE cluster.

PART II: READER

My thoughts:

Some people wonder why I devote so much time and energy in “artwork” that I just “giveaway” – aka, my freebies. Doing them is no laughing matter. Doing them WITH MY CURRENT WORKLOAD is like embarking on a 5K marathon with a bum knee. Why do I do it?

The people closest to me have asked me that question since they want me to get as much rest as I can AWAY from my computer. I keep telling them I HAVE to because there are women here who visit this blog who have become more than just “visitors” to me but real FRIENDS. There are women, total strangers, who write to me about their current “struggles” and how my “work” enables them to scrap their “hurts” and “broken-ness.” I “help” any way I can by sharing mine… In the process of sharing, these women and I “heal.”

Tell me, HOW CAN I STOP? Even with the increasing demands of my work (when I started this blog, my schedule wasn’t THIS HEAVY) that slowly increased pace when the year started, I cannot for the life of me imagine giving-up creating “kits” to give away. It has come to mean more than just “kits.”

How I feel about all of this can be wonderfully summed up in article I read recently in Philippine Daily Inquirer by Butch Jimenez. It’s part of our “I’ve Learned” series from my last post. (Remember?) Allow me to quote some excerpts:

I’ve learned that there is no such thing as “making a difference so small, it doesn’t matter.” Some people don’t bother making a difference in other people’s lives because they feel the impact is so small compared to the problems of the world. But the truth is, the impact of making a difference is always big to the person you touch. And while we may never see the ripple effect of our acts of kindness, it can and usually does grow to proportions that make the world a better place.

But I’ve also learned that no matter how small you are able to help others, the effect on your very own soul will always be huge. Just try it. Just try and sincerely help someone today. It doesn’t have to be in a big way. Make someone smile. Cheer someone up. Do something nice for someone today and watch the effect it has on YOU (caps mine). Every time you help someone , the truth is, two people come out of it with a smile, the person you helped and you.

(More next post ok? I love this article!)

Part III: FRIEND

Now here’s a “post” to those who wondered where I was… (I still am)

The last three weeks have been a test NOT on my creativity but my stamina. Contrary to the number of email wishes you have sent my way, I wasn’t taking my long-delayed R&R. I was in the thick of a marketing campaign churning our marketing materials for a multinational client beating their deadlines like there’s no tomorrow. Eleven materials to be exact. One material even had as much as 20 pages in it while two had 6 each. I don’t just do graphic designs, I write copy too, hence the tremendous load.

I am not complaining. It IS work I love doing but honestly… when the contracts come pouring in all at the same time, the joy seems to fly out of the window. I’m left panting with two to four hour night rests for the last THREE weeks (even my Mom is telling me to stop everything and REST). I comfort myself with one thought as my body started to complain and break down a few days ago: the companies who seek me out LOVE my work and wouldn’t have their “materials” designed by any other. I consider getting paid for what I love to do a great blessing. My work is a blessing despite how demanding it has become. I am STILL very grateful.

I’m so sorry if I have not been answering your emails. Whatever free time/rest I have from the materials I have been contracted to do was allotted to the three websites I had to design and finish BEFORE April 16. Two down, with one to go. I need all the strength I have to fulfill my obligations. Updating the site, designing a page, working on the elements take no less than TWO DAYS to finish – and this is no exaggeration. TWO DAYS for THIS update and download of goodies alone. The current lineup of files now available for download will give you an idea WHY it takes such a long time for me to do my “kits.” Conceptualizing “what” alone takes hours and the selection of textures and color palette doubles that time even more…

Then, there’s the personal side of things where people prove more difficult than deadlines… I had to work through a lot of stuff and to contend with several problems BEYOND work is draining everything I have left…

Most “new blog visitors” have written to me marveling at the highly detailed images I create. I am glad they notice the effort. I’d hate to just “churn out” stuff to simply have something to “release” that won’t have my heart and memories in it… That will never be me. People can go somewhere else but you reading THIS portion of my post know that so well by now… And I truly appreciate it.

With my contracts piled up, my deadlines approaching and my body refusing to budge without two more hours of sleep in addition to the four I grant it every night, I had no choice but to hope that you will bear with me and wait… I have two more contracts to finish. Nine down. One more site to do and I promised my family I will shackle myself to the wall and refuse any work until I gain 5 pounds back (Ok here I go making promises to myself that I find hard to keep… I know…) I truly look forward to April 16 as “liberation day.” I plan to reward myself with at least 5 days of “no computer work” and simply curl up in a corner and read a good book… AND SLEEP.

In the meantime, let me finish my remaining obligations, sift through the tons of email that has been left unanswered and hope that you can FORGIVE ME for being remiss. Please whisper a prayer for me that my body doesn’t give out before I fulfill my legal obligations. I promise, you will be in mine. Will respond to ALL emails soon…

So I finally decided to have that “Twitter” thing – a “mini blog” I can update via SMS. This way, I can just send a short SMS and have a sentence or two inform those who are concerned what’s up with me (even when I’m away from my computer or not logged to the net). Best of all, if my computer had been “confiscated” or I’ve fallen ill and in bed, I’d be able to tell you ladies about it and not cause you too much worry or emails. Look for the Twitter Box below my blog. I’ll try to update via Twitter DAILY.

Its almost 12 midnight and I’ve been at this update for about 8 hours now… Will rest and have another crack at my “obligations” tomorrow. Thank you and hugs to you all.

    Hi Mabelle,
I actually wondered if everything was going fine with you. I’m glad you can still find the time to post something and even give out freebies. I know all about deadlines too, I haven’t been on your blog for some time, because I have lots and lots of pictures to work on. So I won’t say, stop and get some rest, but finish the deadlines, AND then get some rest
Sometimes you have to give up on part of your life to make it all better. You are working on your career now, a career in which you are excellent. And on April 16th, you can get your rest. I am actually spending more time here than planned  , so take care..

  2. SandraC Says:

Oh, and also thank you very much for the downloads. They are as usual wonderfull..
Mailing you my guess in a minute

  3. Mary S Says:

Maybelle, I worry about you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, and you take all the time you need for YOURSELF. I absolutely adore your work, but I have to say that I’d visit your blog even if you never gave a thing away. Your blog is inspirational! You make me dig into myself, and stretch and grow. That is the true gift that you give. Wishing you love and comfort and joy in the little things in life.

  4. Tammy Says:

Oh Mabelle honey. Take some time off. I do hope you will be getting your strength back and take some much needed time off. I agree with Mary S. above, I visit your blog whether you are doing freebies or not.

We all worry about you so much. Please get well and I am off to study the alphas!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Oh, honey, get your work done first, get some sleep, (lots of it!) and then play (I mean create- cause honestly these latest are works of art!) The people who matter will still be here to read your blog and recieve the freebies, those who only want the freebies, will still grab them! thanks so much for these and I’m off to check out that alpha!

  6. Erika Says:

    Hi Mabel,
I am so pleased to see you are okay and that it is not ill health that has kept you from blogging. Whilst I adore your freebies, I also worry about the person behind them. Like you my work has been insane of late as we raced to meet a deadline on a very controversial report for government. Like you I was existing on 2 to 3 hours of sleep per night to do that and meet my family responsibilities. SO here is what I have learned (and I haven’t had a chance to scrap it yet). Sometimes the most generous thing we can do is to look after ourselves. To nurture and fuel our body and spirit so we can continue to give to those who rely on us. We should not waste our energy or spirit on those that only take from us. My husband and myself have recently cut back on all the activities and roles we have that we give to, to allow us more time and energy to give more to the important ones. Make sure you are looking after yourself. Whilst there are many of us who love your work and the beautiful spirit that creates it, we never visit the blog with an expectation of a gift or freebie. Those who do (and I have seen them complain in comments sections on other blogs) are not worthy of your energy or time. Please make sure you are looking after yourself, and taking some time for you.
    Best wishes,
    Erika

Mabelle, you are being a naughty, sweet girl. You should not be worrying about us at all. We knew you were working hard into April, and you should be resting, not sending us pretty things (not that we don’t LOVE the pretty things!) Please know that we would hear from you after you are done with your work, and have had a good long rest.

  8. Jennymary Says:

    Hello, Mabelle.
I am just a Scrapper but I actually read all your blog and am blown away that you take time to do this amazing work, even for people you know will not even say thank you. I just wanted you to know that your hard work is very much appreciated.

  9. Jenn Says:

Oh my dear….I just love your designs and I don’t think anyone could possibly bear the slightest ill wish or upset toward you for not posting frequently. Life comes first. Sharing your wonderful and generous designs is a lovely thing to do- but only when YOU are well rested, feeling healthy and have time.

Thank you for your wonderful work. But most importantly- take care of you.

  10. Judy Says:

Maybelle, I would check into your blog 2-3 times a week, but when I didn’t see thast you had posted I became a bit concerned until I went back and read one of your previous posts where you stated that you were going to be busy with work. I thank you for these wonderful freebies….you are being too kind, and I hope that when your work commitments are finished you will take a very well deserved break…..by getting away for a few days and totally unwind.
BTW it’s great to have you back and I really love that gorgeous text ‘I Wish For You’…..may we use it?
Well I am off now ro DL the alpha….

    Hello Little one,
You know what I am going to say before I say it. I have been away, too. But I had hoped to find you doing better when I got back. Some day, you are going to have to tell some people “No” – and only do what you can humanly do. But I understand your drive and your aim at excellence. I just wish it could happen without such a high personal cost to you. These newest gifts are outstanding. I am sorry I was not around for the “Ive Learned” challenge. LOL It would take a book of pages to show all I have learned….especially after this last big move and all of the sad good-byes. But I enjoyed the pages that were made and thank all of the ladies for being so open and honest.
Now, if only we could all figure a way to help you and get you to take better care of yourself – now that would be something to scrap about! LOL. I am looking forward to being back and keeping up.
Until our container arrives with all of our things, I have time to follow up and make sure that you are okay!
    You are in my prayers, little one. Take care, PLEEEEEESE!! {{HUGS}}

  14. Barbwire Says:

Thank you so much for the goodies. I am glad to hear you are still well (just have your nose to the grindstone). My prayers are with you. Only 8 days to go til you can read that good book and sleep for 10 hrs straight. LOL

  15. Catherine Says:

Mabelle, one short message with a wish for you. April 16th, go outside, find a secluded and cozy lightly shaded area, spread a blanket, toss your favourite pillow down, lay down and go to sleep in a little sunlight. It is wonderful how sleeping outside can nourish you.

Sending healing energy your way . . .

  16. bl Says:

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work. Please take care of yourself!

  17. marlin Says:

Mabelle, I am glad to hear you are doing as well as you are, under the circumstances! Nothing in this life is worth your health, so take care. I like the suggestion above about the blanket in the sun! It is to cold here for me to try that!

Thank you for the wonderful goodies…take care of yourself.

  18. Betty Says:

Mabelle, I am happy to hear that it is work and not ill health that kept you from your site. I missed your inspiring reflections.
I have stopped in at different times to see if you had posted a new segment to your blog. I knew you said you were going to be busy with work commitments but I didn’t realize how busy!!
Thank you for the gorgeous gifts – they are awesome. I have to go look over your lovely alphabet.
    Thanks again – keep well.

  19. missy Says:

  20. leanne Says:

mabelle, do not worry for 1 MINUTE that you have not responded to our reaching out to you via email and comments… I was purely sending messages of encouragement and care out to you – not with expectation from you

i can’t wait to hear from you 5 days after the 16th!!! and what self-care you’ve “indulged” in!!! isn’t it terrible we so often consider self-care “indulgent”???

thank you SO much again for such beautiful creations, for sharing them with us… i am a grateful recipient of your heartfelt generosity

  22. Sandi Says:

Hmmmmm your work is beautiful, and your writing is excellent. i do understand what a boon and a barnacle it can be to have a ton of work all at one time! i’ve been there…but the quality of your work certainly doesn’t suffer. My guess about the gems on the letters: i noticed they were on ABEM only…now, i would have thought you’d put one on the L so it would be all the letters in your name…but i didn’t see any on the L…still, it spells BEAM, which could mean that gems give off a beam of light when the sun hits them just right…OR, i missed seeing the gems on the L and you used only the letters in you name. Am i close? Lemme know! s

  23. Angela in NC Says:

    Dearest worn out Mabelle,
Darlin’ what are we going to do with you?…LOL…bless your heart…You work entirely to hard for everyone!!!…You surely better keep that promise to yourself that after April 16th you will take a break and rest…And as much as I know myself and everyone else that reads your blog for more then just the freebies will tell you, we would rather you take that time to read a book and sleep instead of working on something else for us…You NEED rest lady!!!…Please take the time your body NEEDS and start getting a little more rest hun…We worry about you because we call you friend and that is what friends do, they worry about each other…

Thank you Mabelle for the beautiful gifts you have shared with us today! As usual you have gone above and beyond our expectations! But we all know what a kind, giving, generous and hard working talented woman you are…

    Mabelle,

This is my first visit to your blog, and I happened upon by chance, but I can already tell that you are a beautiful, if not extremely busy person. Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts as well as your talents. You do wonderful work. Take care of yourself.

I’ve just discovered your blog and amazing talent and I must say, from the little I’ve read so far, you are one amazing woman. I echo what others have said…please take care of yourself and let you come first some times….Everything/everyone else will still be their waiting, if they are worth it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.

  36. kep Says:

    Dearest Mabelle,
Firstly, thank you so much for sharing these beautiful additions. They are awesome as usual. Secondly, I read your entire entry as I usually do. It is great to hear from you again. I remembered that you said you were going to be extremely busy. Wow! That doesn’t even begin to describe what you’ve been going through. I have to agree with the post above that suggested sleeping outside in a lightly shaded comfy spot. Sounds like heaven to me. Well, sweetie, take care of yourself and may your work get easier.

  37. Aly in GA Says:

    Hi dearest Mabelle,

I’ve just sent you a rather long email (though nowhere NEAR as long as this blog update, missy!) so I’ll just say “thank you”.

    Now go find your pillow!

  38. KrisG Says:

FIRST off, I have to say a huge thank you for all of the fabulous, beautiful, stupendous and heartfelt scraps you’ve shared here. Your designs are glorious!!! I’m sorry I didn’t get a LO done in time (I had EVERY intention of getting one done!) but I’ve been really sick for over a month now and not spending much time at the computer. I’m finally starting to feel a bit better but still tired all the time. I really do enjoy doing your “challenges”!!!

Second, I love the article you posted by Butch Jiminez. That article is sooo true and I always try to “touch” people… even if just a smile or thank you or excuse me. I’ve known too many rude people in my life (I was married to one) and no matter what, I don’t want to be like that. Thank you for all you do… your blog always makes me “think”.

Third, my prayers go out that your body will hold up! You DO realize that WE can wait?!?! Your job sounds very demanding at the moment and anyone who couldn’t forgive you for your “time out” is just a jerk anyway, LOL. Please take care of yourself… we need you here!!! I love visiting your blog no matter how long in between.

Hugz to you and take care.
    KrisG

Thank you for time you spent to write about these important things.
And I loved to read about I ´ve learned.
Thank you as well for the beautiful freebies. Allthough I will not be able to guess I could imagine the reason.
Have a great week with lots of people who give some love to you

  40. Janine Says:

I just read your blog for the first time today. I’m a new digital surfer, but even as much as I’ve looked around, I can tell the quality of your work. Thank you so much for your dedication. I also ‘get’ how these groups become communities of friends. Thank you for the great “I’ve Learned”, I really needed that today.
    Warm Wishes,

  41. Peggie Says:

That is such a beautiful quote, and your work is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. As for your wonderful alpha, I did notice that the letters decorated with the rhinestones spell your name.

    Please take care of yourself.

Thank you so much for the beautiful gifts. I, too, have been busy with life. And while yours was one of the blogs I liked to visit daily, I just have not had the time and have drifted away. Not that you are not in my thoughts, but I just don’t have the time that I used to. I am retired now, so my commitments are no longer to the job, but now that we live closer to family, I have learned that spending time with the little ones as they are growing up, and with my husband as we are growing old, is top priority. For the first time, I got to hold a new grandbaby right after she was born (our second great-grandchild). What a joy, and so much more important than time on my computer. I like to pop in now and then to see what has happened, and how things are going. I know that you understand. God bless you and keep you safe.

definitely guilty of that. I will do better on every site….you touched my heart!

I am not a designer. I love to read blogs and hear about your lives. The freebies are an added benefit! I am always so grateful to those who give us such beautiful freebies. What kind and gracious woman you are to care so much about others. Such a lovely way to live your life.
But you need to take care of youself first. Those who care about you will always be there for you! Anyone could possibly have the nerve to complain about anything need to take a close look at their lives.

  51. grammy201 Says:

    Hi Mabelle,
You are very lucky that we don’t all live close by to you; you would now be confined to your bedroom with meals served. There would be no computer!!! You have to take care of yourself. I knew when I didn’t hear from you that something was up; time for a spanking, lol. You’re in my thought and prayers.
Thank you for the lovely additions; beautiful as always!
    Take care of yourself!

  52. Sandra Says:

I think computer confiscation is your only hope! Hope the 16th comes quickly and you do finally take care of yourself after that.

  53. Nancy Says:

Thank you so much for the gorgeous gifts! The patterns and textures are simply awesom! Please take care of yourself and don’t forget to make time for YOU! Thank you again for sharing!

  54. Colleen E aka Chi-girl Says:

Hiya sweetie, I’ve been slower than usual, under the weather (or radar?) a bit lately, but love your recent work. I enjoy your things so much and if I don’t come around as often as I should it’s not because I don’t want to but because time keeps moving faster than I can keep up with it. So bless you for all your amazing work and freebies – and that great poem. Big hugs, xo

Wow, Mabelle, you make me tired just reading your schedule! Bless your heart! We can survive until you get rested. What will we do if you don’t take care of yourself? Just keep your eyes on the prize…April 16th and ENJOY! See you when you are like new again.

  56. Julie Cohen Says:

I was wondering if you were ok Mabelle, but I thought work would be the reason for your absence, do try and take a break, we can all wait, your health is much more important than making things for us. Only afew days to go before your work is over. Look after yourself, big hugs

    Hello,

Is it possible that the download link for Watercolor Dreams does not work? It looks so beautiful. I would very much like to download it.

    Foureyes – the Netherlands

  58. Mabelle Says:

It is working. If you are having difficulty it could be that Mediafire is not functioning as it should. Just try again later. IF you are attempting to download any other file other than those in the recent post, all the links have expired. Sorry.

    Hi Mabs,

Should I go to the “sermon” first or to the thank you? LOL! Ok, thanks heaps for the luscious freebies.

Oh you ever generous muffin =) Please do not “abuse” your health & yourself. There should be no striving in giving. We know how much passion you have for your work plus how BIG your heart is in blessing thousands upon thousands of people (scrappers and non-scrappers) around the world….but still we would be more happy to see you having a good time as well. It’s more sad being sick & ‘though you want to do even just one kit (for your projects)/freebie (for us), you’re health condition will not allow you. Anything that is too much is not good.

Please don’t feel bad whenever you post something here and there’s no freebie at all. We also want to know what’s happening with you…family…friends…party…vacation…food cravings? Whatevah! Not just the freebie.

Sounds corny but it’s true…we really care for you.

    LOVE YOU. GOD BLESS YOU.

    ingats,
    mickey

anyway, thank you for sharing your wonderful creations once again  too bad i missed the 1st set and your previous ‘for sale’ line! arrghh! i got sooo busy the past months preparing for my wedding, med board review, traveling with family, etc, etc.. sigh! anyway, got to stop complaining — at least i get to sleep 6-8hrs a day! hehe!

Although I’m a very infrequent visitor here, I enjoyed reading your entry, and your work is fantastic (thanks for sharing!!) But mostly what I want to say is, WHERE the heck is your E-MAIL addy?? I looked high and low all over the site and can’t find it! I do, however, know the answer to the rhinestones-in-the-alpha question, for all the good it does me, LOL!!

  67. Judy Says:

I am currently transferring the files I downloaded into my folders and I worked out the letters with the jewels on….it spells out your name

  68. Jan Says:

    thank you. I love these.

  69. Laura Says:

Thank you so much for the wonderful goodies and for sharing the “I’ve Learned” layouts and article. It is so true how much can ripple out from doing something nice (and ripple “in” too!). Now that you’ve done so much nice for everyone else do something nice for yourself and take some R&R! It sounds like you very much need and deserve it. Your faithful readers and those of us who have just discovered your work and appreciate it will still be here after you get a break and as for anyone who doesn’t want to stick around and keep checking back even if they find nothing new for several days, well, that’s their loss.
Sending hugs and hope you get some wonderful relaxation soon.

  70. Janet Says:

Thank you, Mabelle, once again, for your beautiful handiwork! I’m sad to have missed so much of the fantastic Watercolor Dreams kit. I have been so preoccupied with my hubby’s disability and upcoming surgery about which he is, understandably, very afraid, that I just can’t keep up. My e-mail goes for days without being read or answered and my blog – well, I have all but abandoned it. Hopefully, everything will go well and I can join in the fun again soon. If anyone here has a prayer group or a prayer list at their church, will you please add my husband Bill to it?

Big hugs and lots of love to you all.
